Short-sighted Policies Root Cause Of Terrorism: Larijani

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA - Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani here on Monday lambasted the short-sighted policies of US and certain countries as the key contributor to the spread of terrorism in the region, Iraq and Syria in particular. Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Nigerian Parliament's head of the Agriculture Commission, Mohammad Taher Mongono. Referring to Iran-Nigeria historical relations, Larijani underscored that the two countries enjoy potentials for increasing all-out cooperation, the parliamentary one in particular. He also described Nigeria as an important country in the African continent that enjoys huge potentials and capabilities in agricultural areas. Mongono, for his part, urged the Islamic Republic of Iran to share its valuable experience with Nigeria in agriculture sector.
