Sr. MP advises West to stop excessive demands in nuclear talks
Tehran, Nov 23, IRNA – Majlis (Parliament) first Vice-Speaker Mohammad Mohsen Abutorabifard urged Group 5+1 states on Sunday to avoid halting a correct decision be made in Vienna nuclear talks by putting forward excessive demands against Iran's legitimate rights.
'Iran is currently known by international community as a symbol of security, national unity, a religious democratic system and a government based on public votes,' the senior MP told IRNA in an exclusive interview.
Referring to the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the world six powers (US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany) in Vienna, Abutorabifard said if Western states failed to adopt a 'reasonable approach' during the talks, they would cause some challenges for the negotiations.
Iran and the G5+1 representatives began the 10th round of their talks in Vienna since November 18 to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement before November 24 which is set as a deadline for putting an end to the decades-long nuclear dispute.
Failing to reach an inclusive deal would benefit Iran in mid or long-term period but it is against the interests of the West and US in particular, stressed the Iranian lawmaker./end
