Thai government's OSCC ready to help people
BANGKOK, July 27 (TNA) - About 300 people have received assistance daily from the Thai government-established "One Stop Crisis Centre" (OSCC) since its opening more than three months ago.
Speaking during the weekly TV and radio programme of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Saturday morning, New Social Development and Human Security Minister Paveena Hongsakul acknowledged that the OSCC, which has been operating since April 9, 2013 at the prime minister's initiative to help needy people, has run successfully, offering assistance to about 300 people a day.
Paveena said the OSCC, located in the Government House compound, has received good cooperation from several agencies concerned, including the Ministries of Labour, Education, Justice and Public Health and the Royal Thai Police, to render help to people in time.
The minister noted that more than 20,000 networks nationwide plus some 500 mobile cars of the OSCC have been prepared to listen and offer assistance to people in trouble so far, and that people needing help can either contact directly with concerned government offices, or with the hotline number 1300, or the website named [www.osccthailand.go.th].
