Those who do not talk with Iran respectfully gain nothing: Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN,Dec.19(MNA) –Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that those who do not talk with Iran with respect will gain nothing. “We have repeatedly told those who have aligned themselves against the Iranian nation that they should talk with the nation with respect and (based on) friendship,” Ahmadinejad stated during a speech in the city of Babol in the northern Iranian Mazandaran Province ahead of a possible round of talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany). He added, “We tell them to come and stand by the Iranian nation and be aware that friendship with this nation is in their interests.” The Iranian president addressed the countries that have been seeking to create obstacles in the way of the progress of the country and said, “You are free to make any decision you wish, but you should accept its consequences as well. Do not say a few years later that you regret your decision because the situation changes with the passage of time.” “Those who use Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as a pretext and deceitfully accuse Iran of trying to develop nuclear bomb and weapons are only concerned about the progress of the Iranian nation,” he stated.
