Turkey's Paris ambassador: we don't want to live bad events again with France like we did in the past

PARIS (A.A) - December 21, 2011 - Turkey's Ambassador in Paris Tahsin Burcuoglu said that Turkey did not want to experience difficulties with France again, like it did in the past. Speaking to AA regarding a French resolution criminalizing the rejection of Armenian allegations on 1915 incidents which will be voted on Thursday at French Parliament, Burcuoglu expressed hope that the resolution would not be adopted, and Turkish-French relations would not be deteriorated. Referring to draft laws which had been brought to French parliament and senate in the past years, Burcuoglu said that Turkey and France lived serious difficulties in the relations after 2001 and 2006. Friendship between Turkey and France requires more different projects as well as cooperation and sincerity, said Burcuoglu, adding that Turkey unfortunately had to waste its energy in different issues due to such initiatives.
