UN resolutions best proof of Israeli atrocities: Iranian MP

TEHRAN,Aug.22(MNA) – Iranian MP Bijan Nobaveh said on Tuesday that the United Nations resolutions against Israel is the best proof of the atrocities committed by this regime. Nobaveh made the remarks in response to a UN press statement released on Saturday, in which UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon had described the Iranian officials’ statements about Israel as “offensive and inflammatory” and called on the international community to condemn such remarks. During a speech in Tehran on Friday to commemorate the International Quds Day, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had said that Israel was an “insult to humanity” and “a cancerous tumor”. Nobaveh stated, “It would be better if the United Nations secretary general takes into consideration over one hundred resolutions ratified by the General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council against this regime due to its actions against the oppressed Palestinian people instead of making such remarks and takes account of this issue that today the Zionist regime is the most hated regime on the world stage. “The most important proof of the atrocities of the Zionist regime is the United Nations resolutions against this regime, and if the United Nations regards itself committed to implementing these resolutions, the current problems regarding the Zionist regime and the atrocities committed against the oppressed Palestinian people will be resolved. “The remarks by the Iranian president (reflect) the policy of all Muslim countries and developing countries, and the Zionist regime should recognize the rights of the Palestinian nation.”
