US Drone Kills 3 In NW Pakistan

Islamabad, Sept 23, IRNA -- An American spy aircraft killed at least three people in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region on Saturday, tribesmen said. The unmanned aircraft fired two missiles on a vehicle at Datta Khel area, they said. Two other people were also injured in the strike. There was no report about the identity of the slain men. The Saturday's strike occurred at a time when Pakistan Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, currently in the United States, again opposed the U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan. She met U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in Washington late Friday and said Islamabad considers the attacks as violation of the country's sovereignty. The U.S. has always ignored Pakistan's demands and continued drone attacks. International right groups have also termed the U.S. attacks as illegal and are calling for end to the campaign. The Obama administration has increased number of the strikes in Pakistan's tribal regions. Tribesmen say that American drones kill innocent people and have caused physiological problems among the children./end
