Victory Of Islamic Revolution Invigorates World Oppressed: Indian Scholar

New Delhi, Feb 4, IRNA – The victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, led by late Imam Khomeini, invigorated the oppressed people across the globe, said an eminent Indian Shia scholar here on Monday. In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Maulana Jinan Asghar Moulai said, “The Islamic Revolution, based on the basic tenets of Islam, guided, not only Muslims but all oppressed people of the world to unite against oppressive colonialism, neo-colonialism and capitalism”. Islam underlines need to safeguard humanity, he said, adding that Imam Khomeini repeatedly urged all nations to respect humanity. This was the secret of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Jinan further noted. Maintaining that the victory of the Islamic Revolution changed the world balance of power more than any political event, the scholar asserted that the present uprisings were very much inspired by the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran. He stressed that the basic difference between Islamic Revolution and other revolutions is that the Islamic Revolution is still alive and inspiring and the US and other oppressors are still shivering from its name.
