West Afraid Of Powerful Iran: Shia Leader

Islamabad, Oct 13, IRNA – Member of Pakistan’s main Shia party on Friday said that western powers are afraid of strong, powerful Iran. Talking to IRNA, Allama Amin Shaheedi, Deputy Secretary General Majlis-e-Wahdat-e Muslimeen (MWM), said that US and Zionist regime are creating hurdles in the progress of the Islamic Republic. “They are afraid of Islamic Ideology,” he opined. He agreed with the statement of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that, “Now they claim that if Iranian nation ignores its nuclear energy, the sanctions will be lifted; they are telling a lie.” The Supreme Leader said in Bojnourd that the sanctions have nothing to do with Iranian nuclear program and the enemies have targeted Iranian nation with sanctions for political agenda. Amin Shaheedi added that there is no other view to that the US and West are biased towards Iran. He said that western powers want to rule the whole world and cannot tolerate a country which is not accepting their hegemony. He added that the basic objective of colonialism was to stop development in small countries. “They create problems for developing countries,” said the MWM leader. “Iran has been subject to sanctions in all fields from the early days of victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, but, achieved progress to the dismay of the enemies,' said the Supreme Leader. Allama Amin Shaheedi noted that western states have been trying to weaken Islamic Revolution for past many years but failed to accomplish their evil designs. “Today Islamic Revolution is flourishing despite all conspiracies,” added the religious leader. Deputy Secretary General Majlis-e-Wahdat-e Muslimeen viewed that US and western states are against all those countries which are following independent policies. “They are also annoyed with some Latin American nations which are not accepting their pressure,’ he noted. Amin Shaheedi said that US is afraid of the power of Iran that is why they are leveling baseless allegations on Iran’s nuclear program. “Why they do not stop Zionist regime from aggression on innocent Palestinians,” he asked. The MWM leader went on to say that western states are afraid of the spread of Islam in their societies. He said that they (West) will try stop all those countries which are not accepting their dominance in the world. “They want the countries to follow their social systems,” he pointed out. Allama Amin Shaheedi was of the view that sanctions have boosted the progress of Iran and cannot weaken the Islamic Revolution. The religious leader viewed that Iran has become a symbol of resilience to the whole world. “Iran is a role model for the Muslim world,” said the religious leader.
