Azerbaijan`s wrestler crowned Baku 2017 champion

Baku, May 20, AZERTAC Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Jamaladdin Maqomedov has beaten Kazakh Daulet Shabanbay 12-8 to claim gold in the men`s 125kg weight category at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku. First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chair of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organising Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and her family members watched the final bout. Turkish Salim Ercan and Iranian Komeil Ghasemi took bronze medals. First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chair of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organising Committee Mehriban Aliyeva presented the medals to the wrestlers. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the flag was raised in honor of the champion.
