Iran’s junior badminton players win 4 gold medals of Central Asian Games

Tehran, IRNA – Junior Iranian boy and girl badminton players on Sunday gained 4 gold medals of the 2022 Central Asian Games which was held in Tajikistan. This is the first year that badminton is included in Central Asian Games, that was held on August 11-14. In the final match of the singles games of the under-17 two Iranian players managed to beat their competitors and as a result, the gold and silver medals were given respectively to Adel Surati and Mohammad Golchin. In doubles, the Iranian team’s Ali Ahmadlou and Matin Qassemi beat the double team of Uzbekistan and gained the gold medal of the under 15. The Iranian youth in the final of the first badminton of Central Asian Games also beat the double team of Uzbekistan to win the doubles’ gold medal in Tajikistan. In girls’ field, Iran’s Zahra Robati and Aysan Zareie beat the doubles team of Uzbekistan to become the champions of the under 15-year-old field of the Central Asian Games. Also, in the girls’ doubles of the under 15-year-old field, Ferdos Foruqi and Aida Enayati beat the doubles’ team of Tajikistan to win Iran’s 4th gold medal in these games.
