Parliament Speaker Congratulates Nat'l Volleyball Team For FIVB Finalist Ranking

Tehran, June 30, IRNA – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in a here Sunday night message addressed to national Iranian volleyball team congratulated them for ranking among finalist teams of the FIVB World League. “Presence in the competitions among the best world teams in this sports field, which is gained for the first time, is another manifestation of the gallantry, competence and high qualities of the mighty and internationally renowned Iranian youth,” said Larijani in his message. President Hassan Rouhani, too, in a message addressed to national Iranian basketball team congratulated their Sunday night ranking as a finalist of FIVB after beating Poland for a 2nd time in Tehran and gaining 19 points equal to Italy. In his message President Rouhani has praised the team’s pride inspiring success in ranking a finalist of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and filling the hearts of the Iranian nation with joy. “This precious victory is the result of long term approach and planning for volleyball that has led to your eye-catching superiority in confrontation with big world powers in volleyball and hope and belief of the dear youth of the dear Islamic Iran in their own competence,” said President Rouhani in his message./end
