Azerbaijani rescue team pulls 9 alive from rubble

ERCIS (A.A) - October 28, 2011 - A rescue team from Azerbaijan pulled nine people alive from the rubble after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in eastern province of Van. 100-member Azerbaijani team attended rescue efforts in the quake zone. Azerbaijani team with their sniffer dog exerted great efforts and pulled nine people alive from the rubble, officials said. 187 people have been pulled alive from the rubble so far. An earthquake measuring 7.2 on Richter scale hit Van at 1:41 p.m. on Sunday.
