Tehran, Dec 13, IRNA – First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi said on Monday that unity among Islamic states should be strengthened more than ever. According to the Presidential website Rahimi made the remark in a meeting with the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Tehran Seif Mohammad bin Obayd al-zabi. Current developments in the world have created a suitable situation for Islamic states to bolster their unity, Rahimi said. Bullying powers, now in a bewildered state, will take any action to get rid of their quagmire, which is why unity and solitary among Islamic states is of prime importance, he said. Current economic relations between the two countries are satisfactory which should be further promoted, he said. There is no limit on expansion of relations with Muslim states and Iran is ready to promote such amicable ties based on friendship and brotherhood, Rahimi said. The UAE ambassador, for his part, said the two sides' relations are based on mutual respect and trust, adding that he would spare no efforts during his tenure to consolidate relations between the two countries. Certain countries are trying to mar existing relations between the two countries by creating disputes, he said.
