Iranian Majlis speaker congratulates Fahmy as Egypt parliament speaker

TEHRAN, March 7 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani sent a message to Ahmed Fahmy on Tuesday congratulating him on his election as the speaker of Egypt's Shura Council. Fahmy, a member of the Freedom and Justice Party, was chosen as the speaker of the Shura Council at the first session of the parliament's upper house on February 28. Larijani expressed hope that the relations between the two countries would increase during Fahmy's tenure.
