Larijani Congratulates Iran National Wrestling Team On Their Victory

Tehran, May 14, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a message on Sunday congratulated Iran's National Freestyle Wrestling Team on their victory in the 40th Freestyle World Cup in Baku by beating Azeri and US rivals. Beating all their rivals in the world championship, the team brought much joy to the Iranian people and this proves that Iranian youth by God's grace can win iother international contests," the message read. Larijani once again felicitated the wrestling team and Iranian people on behalf of himself and other Majlis deputies on their victory and wished them well-being and prosperity. The Iranian team overpowered the American rivals 4 -3 in the semi-finals to reach the finals. It had already scored victories over teams from Turkey, Georgia, and Japan and finally defeated Azeri national team 4-3 to stand atop the world championships./end
