Azeri Official: Expanding Economic, Political Ties With Iran, Baku's Top Priority

Tabriz, E.Azarbaijan, May 28, IRNA – The General Consul of Azerbaijan in this northwestern city Ali Alizadeh said expanding economic and political ties with Iran is a top priority for Baku. Addressing a ceremony commemorating Azerbaijan National Day, he said Iran and Azerbaijan enjoy especial diplomatic ties, thanks to many cultural, religious, social and ethnic common points the two nations share. Pointing out that the Iranian and Azeri presidents put special emphasis on promoting mutual cooperation, he noted that both countries' officials should take essential steps to materialize this goal.
