President Ahmadinejad Invites Syrian Counterpart To Attend NAM Summit

Damascus, May 29, IRNA – Minister of Information and Communication Technology Reza Taghipour conferred on Thursday with Syrian President Bashar Assad on issues of mutual interests. In the meeting, the Iranian minister submitted a written message from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to his Syrian counterpart inviting him to attend the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Tehran. The Iranian minister and his entourage arrived in Syria on Wednesday to confer with Syrian high ranking officials on expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries.
