Comprehensive Agenda Will Bring Success To Moscow Talks : Official

Tehran, June 6, IRNA – Deputy secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) said that success in the upcoming Moscow talks would be only achieved through a comprehensive agenda. Ali Baqeri made the remark in a letter to the European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton’s deputy Helga Schmid. Baqeri sent the letter to Ms Schmid five days after Iran-5+1 nuclear talks were held in Baghdad on May 23-24. In his letter, Baqeri voiced Iran’s readiness to hold the expert meeting. Since the other side was not ready to hold such a meeting, Baqeri sent another letter to Ms Schmid, stressing the need to hold the expert meeting to review the Istanbul and Baghdad negotiations and prepare the ground for the successful talks in Moscow. Iran and the Group 5+1 - the US, Britain, Russia, China and France plus Germany- are to hold fresh talks in Moscow on June 18-19./end
