Angela Merkel Visits Meteorology Office

Jakarta, July 11 (ANTARA) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday visited the Indonesian meteorology and geophysics office in Jakarta to see the Indonesian tsunami early warning system. Merkel is in Jakarta on a two day working visit starting Tuesday in return of a recent visit to Germany of President Susilo Bambang. Merkel`s visit coincides with the 31st anniversary of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries. The tsunami early warning system was built in cooperation between the two countries.
