FM speeds up legal assistance to 92 Thais in Myanmar

BANGKOK, July 25 (TNA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent its officials to provide legal assistance to 92 Thai nationals who are to be prosecuted for encroaching on the Myanmar territory. Thai Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul said Wednesday that the 92 Thai detainees would be brought to court in Myanmar on July 27 and their cases should not be time-consuming. According to the foreign minister, Myanmar President Thein Sein promised, during his official visit to Thailand earlier this week, to ensure justice for the Thai detainees. (TNA)
