Bahrain Deputy FM In Tehran For NAM Summit

Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister of Bahrain arrived here Monday to participate in the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) foreign ministerial meeting. Upon his arrival at Imam Khomeini international airport, he was warmly welcomed by a number of Iranian officials. Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa is also to arrive in Tehran to participate in the gathering later today. In related developments, special representative of Australian prime minister arrived in Tehran to take part in the 16th NAM Summit meeting. The experts meeting of the 16th NAM summit was officially started in Tehran Sunday morning with a speech by Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi. Some 107 delegates are attending the experts meeting. The two-day meeting will be followed by the meeting of NAM foreign ministers on August 28-29 while the summit is to be held on August 30-31./end
