Iran President Praises 15 Navy Commanders

Tehran, Oct 28, IRNA – President Mahmood Ahmadinejad praised Navy commander and 14 other commanders and designers of sophisticated military equipment and arsenals. According to the Presidential Office website, President Ahmadinejad, in a ceremony in Bandar Abbas, capital of Hormozgan province, praised those who were responsible in manufacturing Jamaran destroyer. The president honored rear admiral Habibollah Sayyari, commander of Navy, by granting him badge of merit and management. Implementation of successful projects of civil defense in the area and bases of South Fleet, manufacturing of missile launching warship class Paykan, producing destroyers of Sahand and Velayat and manufacturing of submarines were among achievements of the rear admiral Sayyari. President Ahmadinejad also honored 14 other Navy commanders by granting golden plaque of 'Appreciation' for their effective role in manufacturing destroyers and huge vessels and producing sophisticated military equipment and arsenals./end
