Students actively return to schools in Thai far South

YALA, THAILAND, November 1 (TNA) - Like other parts of the country, students in Thailand's violence-plagued far South returned to schools for their new semester today amid tight security measures. In Yala province, for instance, principle of Tha Sab School in the Tha Sab locality of Mueang district, told reporters that some 80 per cent of students showed up on the first day under the good care of local security forces. Yala Governor Dejrath Simsiri confirmed, when inspecting the situation, that the first-day reopening of schools in his province had gone smoothly, thanks to well-prepared security measures jointly worked out earlier by parties concerned.
