Islamabad, Nov 7, IRNA -- A Pakistani analyst on Tuesday said that United Nations (UN) must come out of American influence and stop pursuing biased approach towards Iran. Speaking to IRNA Shahidur Rehman, senior research fellow at South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) termed the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s report on Iran’s human rights status as politically motivated. Iran’s representative at the UN has said that a few western countries’ intentions are reflected in the UN Secretary General Ban’s report, whose contents are unreliable, deviated, wrong, and invalid. Shahidur Rehman expressing his views said that the western countries are not happy with Iran because the country is following an independent foreign policy. “Every body knows that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is very selective towards Iran,” he pointed out. The analyst added that US and Zionist regime are dictating their policies on UN Security Council and have been passing anti-Islam resolutions. “Nobody should expect balanced policy from UN as the organization has lost its effectiveness,” he viewed. Shahidur Rehman went on to say that it is very clear that UN is tilted towards West. The analyst said that UN must come out of American influence and take some steps to stop Zionists regime from human rights violations in Palestine. He added that if they are concerned about human rights violations in Muslim countries then why they are not saying anything against the atrocities of Zionists. He urged Muslim countries to shun their differences and unite against the western hegemony. “They have to make their own Islamic Block,” he opined.
