Official: Iran Crude Production To Hit Over 5m b/d By 2015

Tehran, Nov 17, IRNA – A senior Oil Ministry official said that Iran’s oil production capacity will hit over 5 million barrels per day by 2015. Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr who is the planning deputy for the ministry told IRNA on Saturday that country’s oil production capacity is planned to reach 5,300,000 b/d by 2015. According to the official, Iran’s present production capacity of oil and gas stand at 4.3 million b/d and 670 million cubic meters respectively. He also noted that the gas production capacity will rise to 1.48 billion cubic meters in three years./end
