Belarusian president calls for further economic cooperation with Iran
TEHRAN,Dec.11(MNA) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko called for the expansion of economic ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Lukashenko made the remarks during a farewell meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Belarus Seyed Abdullah Hosseini on Monday, at the end of Hosseini’s diplomatic mission in Minsk, Belarusian news agency Belta reported.
Lukashenko noted that Tehran and Minsk have similar views on world order, and both countries believe in a multipolar world and follow the policy of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs.
He also stated that despite serious problems facing the world today and also unprecedented economic sanctions imposed on Iran, the two countries still have relatively good bilateral turnover.
Lukashenko said that Belarus will welcome investments made by Iranian businessmen in his country at a win-win formula.
The Belarusian president asked Hosseini to convey his best wishes to the Supreme Leader and the Iranian president.
