Members of Council for Coordinating Reforms Front to meet Khatami today

TEHRAN,Dec.23(MNA) – The chairman of the political committee of the Council for Coordinating the Reforms Front announced on Saturday that members of the council will hold a meeting with former president Mohammad Khatami on Sunday, December 23. Speaking to the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Ali Gharibani described the meeting as “very important”, saying that the most important issues facing the country and the strategies of the pro-reform camp will be discussed during the meeting. Gharibani, who is also the head of the center tasked with holding the congress of the reformists, added that views about the conduct of the congress and the content of the programs will be discussed with Khatami. Najaf Qoli Habibi, who holds the rotating chairmanship of the council, had previously stated that the congress of the reformists, which is about the 2013 presidential election, would be held on January 16 and 17, 2013. Iran’s presidential election will be held on June 14, 2013.
