Iranian labor minister promises to remove Mortazavi from his post

TEHRAN,Jan.22(MNA) – Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami, at a meeting with the MPs seeking to impeach him on Monday, promised to remove former Tehran prosecutor general Saeed Mortazavi from his post. The Court of Administrative Justice announced on January 14 that the decree issued in mid-March 2012 in which Mortazavi had been appointed as the director of the Social Security Organization had been revoked. A number of MPs hold Mortazavi partly responsible for the Kahrizak incident, in which three inmates lost their lives.
