Non-oil Exports Via Khuzestan Customs Shows 16% Rise

Ahwaz, Khuzestan Prov., Feb 2, IRNA -- Non-oil commodities worth $693m were exported to Iraq via Khuzestan Customs Office in 10 months leading to January 19, showing 16 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Khuzestan Customs Office Supervisor Abbass Alidadi told IRNA that in the period under study, 2,538,000 tons of non-oil products were exported to Iraq through border markets of Chazabeh and Shalamcheh as well s Khorramshahr maritime border, showing 31 percent growth compared to the same period last year. He said grey and white cement, fresh fruits, cultured and aquarium fish, various types of dairy products, autos and house appliances were the major exports through Khuzestan Customs office. He noted that Khuzestan Customs Office handles one billion dollar worth non-oil exports annually./end
