Gas Condensates Worth Over $2.4b Exported From South Pars

Tehran, July 3, IRNA – Over 2.305m tons of gas condensates, worth $2.42 billion, were exported from South Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in southern Iran during the first quarter of current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2013), it was announced Tuesday.
Speaking to IRNA, director general of Pars Economic Energy Special Zone customs department Ahmad Pourheidar said the figure indicates 45 percent and 97 percent rise in terms of weight and value respectively, compared to the corresponding period last year.
He further noted that the products were mainly exported to China, Japan, UAE, India, Indonesia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Afghanistan.
Some 52.798 tons of goods, worth $431.7 million, were also imported in the same period, Pourheidar added./end
