Zarif: Iran Regards Regional, Global Stability As Its Own

Tehran, Sept 16, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Sunday that the Islamic Republic of Iran regards the stability of the countries in the region and the entire world as its own. Addressing a group of university students and teachers of the Faculty of the International Relations affiliated to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he said it is necessary to have a comprehensive understanding of the topic of international relations. We should conform our understanding of the international relations with the realities and national interest, he said. Zarif, who once taught international relations at the Faculty, said that the Faculty serves as the theoretical resources of Foreign Ministry, because graduates of the Faculty are currently serving at different posts at the ministry. He said that the graduates of the Faculty are expected to formulate theories for Iranian Foreign Ministry to help remove the obstacles in the way of Iranian international relations to secure national interest. Stability in the region and the entire world secures our own stability, Zarif said adding that through developing theories and knowledge you can help promote national and global peace./end
