UEFA, AFFA presidents attend groundbreaking ceremony for training base for national teams in Baku

Baku, September 21 (AzerTAc). UEFA President Michel Platini and AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev have today attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a training base for the national teams of Azerbaijan in the Mardakan football centre, Baku. Addressing the event, the AFFA President spoke about the Azerbaijani government`s attention to sports and projects implemented in this field. He noted that the construction of the training base is financed by UEFA. The UEFA President spoke about the significance of the work done by the Azerbaijani government in football and expressed his gratitude for participation in the ceremony. Platini hailed the work done for strengthening infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
