Iran Names Non-resident Charge D’affaires To UK

Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran assigned Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh as non-resident charge d’affaires to United Kingdom. Afkham said following meeting of Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and his British counterpart Wlliam Hague on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on September 23 and following meetings of Iranian and British foreign ministry officials in New York and Geneva, Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday, November 11, assigned Mohammad-Hassan Habibollahzadeh as Iran’s non-resident charge d’affaires and introduced him to the British government. Afkham added that Habibollahzadeh is to leave Tehran for London soon to make assessments about Iranian assets and buildings in the UK and make preparations for resumption of activities of the consular section of Iran Embassy in London./end
