Geneva-2 to get nowhere without Iran, MP

Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA – Member of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament Abbasali Mansouri said the Geneva-2 Conference will get nowhere without Iranˈs presence. Talking to IRNA, he said the conference will achieve no ideal result now that Iran is not participating in it. He said the organizers of the conference are the only ones losing by not inviting Iran to take part in it. He expressed confidence that Iranˈs participation in the conference would pave the way for working out a solution to the Syrian crisis. Given Iranˈs powerful situation in both the world and the region, he added, there would be another conference on Syria in future.
