Mexican MP: Mexico Receives Little News About Iran

Isfahan, Jan 18, IRNA – Head of Mexican Senate foreign relations commission said little news about Iran can be received in Mexico. Senator Gabriela Cuevas, in an interview with IRNA here on Friday evening, said that she was pleased to travel to Iran and closely witness Irans strong potentials and Iranians sincere behavior. She said the first aim of the visit of Mexican parliamentary delegation to Iran is to make close mutual relations, adding that the delegations intends to study Irans culture and civilization and expand exchanges with this ancient country. Concerning changes in Iran's government in the current year, she stressed that they had such changes in Mexico too, so because of this commonality, they are looking for close relations with Iran. The Mexican senator pointed out that Mexico is making changes in its economic policies and relations to achieve progress in different fields which could be a beginning for wide ties between Mexico and Iran. She added while Mexico is the world 14th economic power, it wants to make more progress, create a number of changes in its labor force situation, industry and economy. Senator Gabriela Cuevas accompanied by a parliamentary delegation arrived in Isfahan on Friday. The Mexican parliamentary delegation will travel to Tehran and Shiraz during their stay in Iran./end
