FM VISITS LITHUANIA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Foreign Affairs Minister L.Bold paid an official visit to the Republic of Lithuania on Tuesday. Mr Bold held official negotiations with Linas Linkevicius, the Minister of Lithuanian Foreign Affairs. The dignitaries focused on matters such as a continuation of political talks, expansion of effective cooperation in economy, education and culture spheres, and a strengthening of legal base of the bilateral relations. After this the sides agreed to collaborate in frames of the European Union /EU/, the United Nation /UN/ and other international organizations, and exchanged views on international issues of mutual interest. Our FM asked the Lithuanian part to draw special attention on broadening of ties between the EU and Mongolia. The Lithuanian sides promised to give a comprehensive support not only in this matters but also in seeking memberships in Human Rights Council in 2015 and in Security Council in 2022. Mongolia and Lithuania established diplomatic ties in December 11 of 1991.
