9th Session Of PUIC Starts In Tehran

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – The 9th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (PUIC) kicked off in the Iranian capital Tuesday morning. President Hassan Rouhani, who is attending the international Islamic conference, will address the gathering. The 9th PUIC gathering is being held with participation of 28 parliament speakers and parliamentary delegations from 47 world states. In the two-day event, some 14 vice-speakers are also present. During the 9th PUIC conference, the rotating presidency of the Union will be officially handed over to the Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani. PUIC currently has 53 members./end
