PHOTO 1st conference of Azerbaijani medical students and young doctors kicks off in Kiev Kiev, March 27 (AzerTAc). The 1st conference of Azerbaijani medical students and young doctors who study and live in Ukraine has started in Kiev. The conference was organized by the Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Youth Union (UAYU) with the support of the country’s diplomatic mission. Organizers and participants of the event first laid flowers at a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev near Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Ukraine. Opening the conference, Azerbaijani Ambassador Eynulla Madatli highlighted the healthcare reforms under President Ilham Aliyev. The Ambassador also praised the sponsorship and multilateral activities of the Representative Office of SOCAR in Ukraine, the UAYU, as well as its Director Anar Tahirov. Eynulla Madatli also said official Baku supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Other speakers at the event included rector of Ukraine National Medical University, Doctorate of Medicine, Professor Yekaterina Amsova, and Official of Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine Natalya Morozova. The conference also featured discussions on the ways of carrying out the exchange of experience and knowledge, and new trends in contemporary medicine. Along with Azerbaijani medical students and doctors, the conference brought together acclaimed professors and medics from Ukraine, Germany, Turkey and Russia.
