Turkish Min. Terms Tehran Visit Very Fruitful

Ankara, April 22, IRNA - Turkish Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz who visited Iran recently at the head of a high ranking economic delegation on Monday termed his visit to Tehran as very fruitful. Yilmaz who also chairs Iran-Turkey joint economic commission told reporters that the two countries have launched a new round of negotiations on transfer of Iran’s electricity to Turkey. The policy helps increase power generation capacity in both countries, he said, inviting Turkish companies willing to purchase electricity from Iran to contact the relative ministry. Turkey has asked Iran to revise its prices for export of gas to the country, he said. Turkey pays no attention to the unilateral economic sanctions imposed by the US and Europe as well as the UN Security Council against Iran, said the Turkish minister.
