Thai Atom for Peace Expo 2014 held in Bangkok
BANGKOK, May 21 (TNA) - The Thai Atom for Peace Expo (TAPE) 2014 is organised in Bangkok from May 21-22, during which international experts brainstorm their ideas on expanding their global network on nuclear technology cooperation, with a special emphasis on cooperation among member countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Natons (ASEAN).
The TAPE 2014, the first-ever hosted by Thailand, was opened on Wednesday by Thai Deputy Permanent-Secretary for Science and Technology Somchai Tiamboonprasert at the Rama Gardens Hotel in the capital.
The two-day forum is attended by Thai nuclear experts and academics and those from other economies worldwide and from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other international cooperation organizations, as well as delegates from concerned public and private
agencies.
The TAPE 2014 also includes a seminar on international cooperation on atomic energy and an exhibition on peaceful uses of nuclear technology for industry, medicine, agriculture, food and nutrition, energy and environment. (TNA)
