Iran's 1st VP Confers With Mauritanian PM

Nouakchott, June 14, IRNA – First Vice-President, who is on his way to Bolivia to attend Group 77 meeting there, in a short stop in Mauritania, conferred with Mauritanian prime minister.
Es-haq Jahangiri was welcomed by Mauritanian Prime Minister Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf at the Nouakchott Airport on Friday noon, local time.
At the airport, Jahangiri expressed pleasure with being able to confer with Mauritanian premier.
He expressed hope that the meeting pave ground for developing mutual ties.
Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, for his part, expressed pleasure with meeting Iranˈs VP.
The first VP departed Tehran on Friday morning to attend Group 77 meeting in Santa Cruz , Bolivia.
Jahangiri is to deliver a speech at the meeting and to have a bilateral meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales.
He will have an interview with Venezuelaˈs Telesur Cable News Network during his stay in Bolivia.
Iranˈs First Vice-President is to meet with the President of the UN General Assembly John W. Ashe in Bolivia.
Group 77 was founded in June 1964 by signing a joint communiqué by 77 developing countries at the end of first session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva.
The group is the largest intergovernmental organization of developing countries in the United Nations and has 132 member states now.
The rotating chairmanship tenure in the group is one year and Iran was chairman of the group in year 2011 in Vienna.
