Director Mirkarimi Animations To Be Screened

Tehran, Aug 9, IRNA - Two animations by director Reza Mirkarimi will be screened in the upcoming 32nd Tehran International Short Film Festival. The animations narrate the life stories of Abbas Doran and Mostafa Chamran who were martyred during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war. The 32nd Tehran International Short Film Festival is scheduled for October 14-19, 2014, wrote Saturdayˈs edition of ˈIran Dailyˈ. Mirkarimi’s works have been screened in and awarded at numerous international events. He received the 2008 Golden St. George award of Moscow International Film Festival, the 2001 Best Screenplay Prize of Asia-Pacific Film Festival and the 2001 Special Jury Prize of Tokyo International Film Festival. His ‘A Cube of Sugar’ hit many foreign movie theaters and scooped several awards in international festivals. ‘Under the Moonlight’ (2001), ‘The Child and the Soldier’ (2001), ‘So Close, So Far’ (2005) and ‘Simply’ (2008) are among his other works./end
