Iran to screen Berlinale selected documentary

Tehran, Nov 8, IRNA – Experimental documentary Fog (Nebel) directed by Nicole Vögele, selected at the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), will be screened at Iran’s 8th Cinéma Vérité Festival. The realistic and poetic documentary, which narrates life from a different perspective, was screened at Berlinale 2014 for the first time in which it received a special accolade. “The jury was enchanted by the poetic power of its images and the extraordinary sensory experience provided by the documentary.” The film was also screened at Visions du Réel (Switzerland), Munich and Karlsruhe (Germany). The work will be displayed at the 8th Iranian international festival for documentary films Cinéma Vérité, slated for November 30 to December 7. The festival screens a wide range of productions such as political, historical, ritualistic, religious, social, environmental, scientific, ethnological and war documentaries. Organized by Iran’s Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), the annual festival tries to express the relationship between reality and truth./end
