BRICS diplomats hold consultations on Middle East in Moscow

MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Deputy foreign ministers of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are holding consultations in Moscow on Friday on the Middle East issue, Russian diplomat Sergey Ryabkov has told the BRICS Academic Forum. "Consultations in Moscow are being held between the deputy foreign ministers of BRICS on the Middle East issue," the Russian deputy foreign minister said. "There is no other such conflict zone and more complex knot of contradictions in the world," he added. "BRICS is not only about economy," Ryabkov said. "We continue working on tackling the most long-lasting and serious challenges to the international security resulting from the attempts to impose something on someone, to dictate and formulate something without taking into account the interests of each of the group’s participants and all of them together," he said. Ryabkov thanked the BRICS diplomats for having come to Moscow in an effort to coordinate approaches and to search for joint solutions at this important period of development in the Middle East region. "I am sure that there will be no doubt about the outcome of this work," Ryabkov said. Read more
