Pakistan-Iran immigration issues to be resolved: Pak min

Islamabad, Nov 9, IRNA – Pakistan Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt Gen (r) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that border and immigration issues of Pakistan and Iran would be resolved amicably in order to facilitate affairs for people of the two countries and to boost cross-border trade activities.

Visiting Panjgur town of Balochistan Province near Iran border, the Pak minister said he was aware of problems and difficulties being faced by local people after closure of Pak-Iran border due to security reasons.
'People living along Pak-Iran border have to depend on cross-border trade for their livelihood,' he said, adding he would take up the issue with the high-ups in the government to legalize import of oil from Iran in order to provide employment to local people.
