Azerbaijan, Australia discuss prospects for developing interparliamentary relations

Baku, June 12, AZERTAC Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov has met with a delegation led by Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific Hon Concetta Fierravanti-Wells to discuss ways of developing relations between the two countries` legislative bodies. Speaker Asadov noted that this kind of visits contribute to the development of interparliamentary ties. He hailed huge potential for developing trade and political cooperation and the Azerbaijan-Australia diplomatic relations whose history spannes 25 years. Fierravanti-Wells expressed her confidence that bilateral relations between the two countries will further develop. She hailed the importance of strengthening Azerbaijan-Australia interparliamentary ties.
