Saudi crown prince expects OPEC+ summit to take place in Riyadh

MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud expects that the first OPEC+ summit will take place in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh, as he himself said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday. "We very much hope to host the first OPEC+ summit in Riyadh," the Saudi crown prince said, adding that a deal involving OPEC and non-OPEC oil producers was still in effect. Mohammad bin Salman said that the Saudi king’s historic visit to Russia had proved to be fruitful and successful for both countries. "We have walked a very long road in the past several years, boosting relations in all areas, including politics, economy and oil industry," he stressed. "I think that this effective work helped us avoid many dangers that were waiting for us and I think that the entire world has benefited from our cooperation," the Saudi crown prince added. According to him, his words referred to oil price fluctuations, while price stabilization was beneficial for all countries purchasing energy resources from Saudi Arabia and Russia. "We saw these benefits and now we are definitely willing to continue this cooperation and move forward," the Saudi crown prince concluded. Read more
