Over 70K Iraqi students studying in Iran
Mashhad, IRNA – Iraqi cultural attaché in Iran, Yaser Abdozohreh has said that more than 70,000 Iraqi students are studying in Iranian universities.
Abdozohreh on Tuesday on the sideline of the Science Week between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mashhad, said to IRNA that Iraqi students can study in other universities around the world in other countries as well, they prefer to study in Iranian universities.
He added that many Iranian universities are among the top ones in the world with regard to the international indexes.
Abdozohreh highlighted that university science and technology parks in Iran undoubtedly are in a better position than the countries of the region and the world, and we hope that one of the topics that will be followed during the visit of the presidents of Iraqi universities in Iran is sharing experiences in the fields of technology parks.
The Iraqi diplomat added that during the past 10 years, the desire of Iraqi students to study in Iranian universities compared to other neighboring countries is being increased.
On Saturday, 7th October 2023, the Science Week between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran was launched with the participation of 60 universities and institutions from the two countries.
