HM King attends Ministry of Education’s National Action Charter anniversary celebration

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended the Ministry of Education’s annual celebration marking the anniversary of the National Action Charter at the National Action Charter Monument in Sakhir. The event was also attended by senior members of the royal family.
Upon arrival, HM the King was received by Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, along with ministry officials. More than 3,000 students from public and private schools participated in the celebration, welcoming HM the King with chants.
The event began with the national anthem, followed by a Quran recitation by student Issa Yousif Al Jalal from Al Hidaya Al Khalifia Secondary Boys School. Students Omran Ali Al Hajri from Hassan bin Thabit Primary Boys School and Ali Zuhair Al Dhaif recited the poem "Al-Dhaw’ Lah" (The Light Has Shone) by the late poet Ghazi Al Gosaibi, while student Ali Hassan Al Arjani from Wadi Al Sail Primary Intermediate Boys School presented the poem "Bu Salman Al Fakhr" (Bu Salman, the Pride) by poet Mohammed bin Jukhair Al Arjani.
Students also performed three musical pieces produced by the Ministry of Education. The first, "Salam Ya Ahl Al Wafa" (Greetings to the People of Loyalty), featured lyrics by poet Ali Matar Al Mazrouei, composed by Jassim Al Harban, and performed by Mohammed Al Bakri. The second, "Bahrain Ya Umna Al Azizah" (Bahrain, Our Beloved Mother), was written by poet Ibrahim Al Ansari, composed by Jassim Al Harban, and performed by Nasser Al Saadi. The third, "25 Sana Namdhi Maan" (25 Years Moving Forward Together), was written by poet Hisham Al Shurouqi, composed by Jaber Al Turki, and performed by Jaber Al Turki and Mohammed Rabia.
On this occasion, HM the King expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Education and its staff for organising the annual celebration and commended the students’ participation, noting that it reflects the values instilled through citizenship education. His Majesty also commended the ministry’s efforts in fostering national identity and strengthening a sense of belonging among students.
Dr. Juma extended his congratulations to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the 24th anniversary of the National Action Charter, which coincides with the Kingdom’s Silver Jubilee celebrations marking HM the King’s accession.
He highlighted Bahrain’s distinguished standing in regional and international forums under HM the King’s leadership and commended the government, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for advancing national development through strategic policies that enhance public services and modernise various sectors.
He further noted the government’s commitment to education, underscoring its role in equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for innovation and professional success.
Dr. Juma emphasised that, in line with HM the King’s directives, the Ministry of Education continues to integrate the principles and values of the National Action Charter into school curricula and extracurricular activities, reinforcing citizenship and national pride among students.
